The Announcements from the meeting included:

· There is a monthly PLC Meeting on March 6th, which is next Thursday. If you are a part of the PLC, you are expected to attend.

· Trip Leaders, once you return from a trip you have led, please be sure to email Fletcher Dix a list of who attended the outing and a brief description of the outing so he can give the scouts who went credit for camping.

· Mr. Nelk is an adult advisor for a new Venture Crew in Pittsford. If you are interested in joining, there is going to be an informational meeting at the Pittsford Library in the Fisher Room this Thursday at 7pm.

· Scouting for Food is coming up. The drop-off date is March 15th and the pick-up date is March 22nd; you will be assigned one of these dates and you will have to participate when you’re scheduled. You are expected to be in Full Class A when you are delivering or picking up the bags. More information will be coming in an email soon.

· Additionally, we are looking for a scout to lead Scouting for Food.

· David Petrison is leading the Whitewater Kayaking Trip during the last weekend of April at Camp Samwood. Only 10 people can participate in the Kayaking but the outing is open to the entire troop and if you did not get a kayaking slot, you can still attend and there may be fishing for those who didn’t get to kayak.

· Ian Marin needs volunteers for his Eagle Project. See the website for more details.

· The next session of merit badges is coming up. The ones being offered are Environmental Science, Family Life, and Citizenship in the Community. If you have already gotten all these merit badges or would like to suggest something else, please email Will Riedlinger.

· Tonight was the last night to turn in job sheets for next year’s positions.

· Spencer Kennedy is leading a trip to Rock Ventures on March 15th. It is going to be a lock-in overnight and the price is $25 per scout.

After the opening, scouts split up into groups to work on their merit badges and did so for the remainder of the meeting.
