Thank you everyone for such a wonderful end of year picnic and Court of Honor last night. Many Scouts were recognized for their achievements including Andy Napolitano's Eagle Scout Award, our outgoing and incoming leadership teams, Erik Gross for the Chris Taffe Spirit award and most night camping, Jack Hart for most merit badges (2nd year in a row), and Spencer Kull for most service hours.

From Chris Taffe's sister Marybeth:  "Please accept my gratitude for the respectful acknowledgement of my brother, Chris Taffe, at last evening's Court of Honor. Although Chris would never have wanted attention for his genuine love and passion for furthering the goals of the Boy Scouts, I am so pleased that the troop remembers him and his efforts on behalf of the kids."

Personally I would like to thank everyone for their kind words and thank you notes as I retired after 5 years as Scoutmaster. The hiking stick is amazing and will be an active part of my ongoing role as New Scout Adviser. 19 Eagles Scouts during my 5 years with 15 Life Scouts waiting in the wings. Five of these Scouts should be finishing up within the next few weeks or months.

Michael Thiemel is hosting his Eagle Service project on June 21 and 22 doing trail work at Burger Park. This will be a fun and rewarding service project. The event flier can be downloaded below. Carpooling from the church is available or meet them out there for whatever time you can put in.  Lunch and dinner will be provided. Scouts are encouraged to bring the following if possible: Work Gloves, Safety Goggles, Saws and Pruning Shears. Bathroom facilities will be available. For those scouts who went to Philmont or Algonquin Park this community service can allow you to earn your 50 Miler Award.  Link to Eagle Project flier

June 16 (Sunday) - "Flight of Eagles" COH featuring Kilian Bestram, Zach Desmann, Jon Dickinson, Timo Krapf, and David Wideman. The COH will be held at the Perinton Presbyterian Church, 6511 Pittsford Palmyra Road (route 31), Fairport, NY 14450. The doors open at 1:30 and the ceremony begins at 2:00.
