Church Grading Project Complete!

What happens when 5 energetic scouts, 5 caring dads and scout leaders set out to move a mountain of top soil using 8 wheelbarrows, 10 shovels and 5 rakes?
Answer:  You get a professional looking job completed in two hours flat.

Thank you scouts (from Troops 171 and 341) for your effort and enthusiasm.  Thank you dads for your time and for bringing equipment.  Your work has minimized a basement water problem and reduced tripping hazards on the nursery school playground.  Congratulations on a fine job!  Scouts, you learned a life skill today while earning service credit.  Because you finished earlier than expected, we completely beat the rain.  Hurray!
A special thanks to Dick Ryther of the Landscaping Committee for moving and replanting hostas at the front entrance after grading was corrected.  With everything back to normal, it’s hard to tell anyone was there.   I noticed a few unhappy pachysandra, but they will get over it.  Thank you Jeff Steele for being our scout liaison and making arrangements.
